I am going totally nutty. I am three days overdue and have a few niggles but that is it.
He was engaged last week so shouldn't be too far away bit i just want him here now!!!
Does anyone have any tips for bringing on labour that they know work?? I have read the other threads about bringing on labour but it all seems to be what people have heard. I was wondering if you could let me have your personal experiences.

Honestly, I don't think there are any guaranteed methods. Sorry to say it! You will go into labour when the baby is ready so it comes down to waiting for him.
You could try all the usual methods if you haven't already: sex, walking, curry... etc etc
Other than that, as easy as it is to say, take it easy. Enjoy the time that you have to focus solely on yourself 'cause there won't be much of that for a while after bubs is born. Sleep, watch telly, go get a bunch of movies out and eat some comfort food! Hope things hurry up for you soon!!

baby will come when ready..relax!!! And the rest you can have now will be great cause you dont get much in the hosp or for a few weeks once baby is here!!!
Its way better to go into Labour naturally than to need to be induced also..Im sure it will happen. Go for some big walks and cleep and eat....
Happy thoughts!!

As the others have said....all tips tend to be wives tales which don't work unless you are ready to go into labour anyway. *sigh* (of course it will give me a good excuse to enjoy a few more spicer curries! hehehehehe)
I hope things do happen for you soon!

A friend of mine's baby was engaged for near 4 weeks so unfortunately, it doesn't mean to say bubs will be there soon.
Personal experience: don't do the curry thing haha!!
A big long walk up and down a hill if you can manage it. Worked for another friend of mine.

Embrace the insanity - it doesn't ease up or truly go away from here out (or at least mine shows no sign of going anywhere and it's been 11 years since I was first pregnant).
Stay away from the eating or taking anything methods that you may have read about (pineapple, curry, eggplant parmesan, castor oil etc) as they tend to give you diaorhea and sometimes make you vomit as well - which on top of labour isn't a good thing and there is a good chance that they wouldn't work anyway.
If you've got a bathtub that you can get in and out of, light a few candles, grab a couple of magazines and have a nice scented bath. Yell at your hubby for a while (frustration breaker that works for me) and book yourself in for a hair appointment (making firm plans for in the future lures the little ones out of their possies just to break your plans). In any case - I guarantee that this wee person will be out of there and making cute faces at his mum within the next 10 days. REALLY! Stay strong and remember to feed all of this stuff back to me in 33 days when I'm complaining about my chap not coming out soon enough too. I'll appreciate it probably as much as you do right now

I had a sweep on Thursday, went for a long walk on Friday, woke up with contractions on Sat morning (4.30am) and had Zaara via c section (tho I was fully dialated and pushing) on Monday 4.21am.
Good luck hun...but every one is right ....he will come when he is ready!!

Make huge important plans for a night out. look forward to it. then babby will interrupt your plans - if you do all this, and then like me, nothing happens - at least you've had a nice night out!

my midwife suggested primrose oil capsules, you don't eat them, you prick them and stick them up there. it sounds gross but when i was a week overdue i got sick of waiting and tried it and i went into labour just over 3 hours later. it may have been coincidence but i dunno. it might be worth a try.

I would suggest getting a "sweep" (there's another thread on here about them) and in the meantime, enjoy as much sleep during the night as you can - you'll miss it in a week or two
