I'm getting my med ittis ready for DS to wear, but I wanna know how you have your SIO's set up?
He doesn't seem to be a very heavy wetter...
They seem to be a lot bulkier than the AIOs? Kinda thinking I shoulda got AIOs now

Gah, lost my post. I use both the snap in parts and a booster if DD is sleeping. Otherwise the hourglass and trifold. I mainly use them as my going out nappies cause they are so trim and good for her to sit in in the car seat. They are not that much more bulkier, they just look it. If you know he will only be in them for a wee bit- while playing- then you can just put in the hourglass part

i also use both parts as my little wees quite a lot and aio s definitely wasnt lasting much at all.
what i like on the sio most of all is that the covers dry very fast...
(i wash at nightime and even now in winter the cover are dry in the morning on a clothshorse) so with few (3) extra snap in set i can start using the covers already the next morning
i guess had i been using aio, i would have to buy 3 more naps and my drying, turn around time would be longer.
i dont find them much bulkier either.
this is my favourite part of sio.
hope you wont regret getting sio in the end.:-)

They aren't bulkier once they've been used a few times. The trifold kinda gets limp so it folds much more tightly on itself, if that makes sense? I always use the two snap-in inserts and only add a booster if it's for nights. Then again, my DD rarely naps more than 45 minutes. If she napped for hours I might use the booster for naps too.

They wont look so bulky in a couple of months
J has skinny legs so I have found that he fitted the AIO a good couple of weeks to a month before the SIO fitted him (and he grew out of the AIO about the same amount earlier) so we have both but I really prefer the SIO for him now...
Gosh, meds already! J wasnt in his until 6 months!!!

Hehe Mel, makes me think my little dude is really chubb-chubb, he's been in his SIO med's for a good three weeks now (and not on the smallest snaps either!).
Gotta say, I love my SIO ones and really need to get some extra inserts.

I love the SIO too, I feel they are more absorbant and I quite often use the outside as a cover over a flat cloth nappy folded up to fit inside it. Much quicker drying (and cheaper) than extra booster sets.
Angie its cool when your bubs have chubchub legs (I know Kiara does) even better is once they start moving they slim down and get even more use out of the mediums!!!

I don't find mine any bulkier either. If I go out I'll often put in a booster or 2 boosters in an AIO though I don't really need to anymore as now we're on less feeds he pees less and now that his legs are chubbier they fit heaps better too. Yay!!
Angiebabe, I remember when we got our mediums when DS was about 4 months lots of the other December mum's were using larges at that age already so guess they're all different! We're still going strong on the mediums though if there's a special at the P&C show I might buy a large and a tutto to see how they go.
