Hi all,
I'm thinking about having my frozen embryos put back and I just wondered if someone could tell me what happens.
Is it any different to a normal IVF transfer?
Do you have the injections or is it just drugs?
Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Biker Shaz,
With a FET, you will likely do a natural cycle - unless your specialist thinks that you need drugs support due to thin natural lining or low progesterone levels.
If you do a natural cycle, on about day nine of your cycle you will start having daily blood tests to track for ovulation. Once ovulation occurs depending on the day length of emby you have, they will count out the days from ovulation to time your transfer. EG if you have blastys, they will count 5 days out from ovulation before transfer. If you have day threes they will thaw and decide whether to grow further or implant three days out from ovulation.
You ordinarilly don't have uterogestan with the FET cycle unless they feel there is a need to increase your progesterone levels.
Your specialist will have a special booklet outlining all this anyway - so give them a ring and get them to send it to you, thats' what they are paid for :)
Good luck!!!

Hi Bikershaz - ditto to everything Lulu30 has said. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck x
------------- 5 IVF/ICSI Cycles - 10 embryo's, 8 transfers, all BFN's.
Our journey to parenthood is over, and we join the unfortunate many for whom IVF does not work.

Thanks Tischler. I remember you from another thread as we were going through IVF at the same time.
We were successful, first time with IVF. Sadly our baby had a very rare condition and didn't make it.
So scared about going through everything again.
Hope you are well.
xx
