While I was having my Sunday sleep in it appears DS drew on the carpet with a piece of black chalk and in DH's infinite wisdom he tried to wash it off with a damp cloth... I'll give him marks for trying to clean it up but ARGH wetting chalk was like the WORST thing to do, I'm pretty sure I could have just vacuumed it up but by wetting it it appears 'stuck'.

Any tips on removing it? Should I try a comercial carpet cleaning product or any other ideas??

TIA

Do you have vanish products in the UK. The pink ones I think from memory you do. Their carpet cleaner is good. The best option would be for this cleaner I used in the states but not sure if it is in the UK. Blue cannister with orange lid called carpet spot shot. Best stuff I have ever come across. I will be buying a suitcase of the stuff next year when we go back.
