Where are the best places to sell jewellery? Is it online like trademe or somewhere like cash converters? I have a white gold and diamond ring I am wanting to sell.

Go trade me - cash converters is a rip off, the BIL took a brand new$800 ring & they offered him $80!!! (farmers had the buy 1 get 1 free deal and well he didnt need the second ring!)
Trade me is good, check out other stuff like it and set a reasonable reserve. Dont expect lots though, i had a ring that was $1400 new, 2.5 years old and i got $450 for it

have you seen those gold buyers in the malls? they have a stand and they weigh it and look it over properly. You could take it there and get them to look at it - no obligation - and then see what cash converters would charge and then if they are both too low go trade me.
