Hi girls,

Does anyone have a Respisense I can borrow for a few weeks?

I sent our old Respisense to Australia back in September for battery replacement. These days, they are just replacing the unit with the newer model. My one didn't show up for 6 weeks but thankfully finally did. I received the new Ditto in the post the other day, but it isn't working. Think the battery is faulty, so I have ordered a new one, but apparently they are delayed by two weeks. I am having really bad luck here!

If the battery doesn't fix it then I have to send the Ditto back again to Australia for another replacement. Very time consuming.

Anyway, I am really paranoid about cot death due to a close friend losing her baby. I know it's probably really silly, but the thought of not having a monitor is really stressing me out. I know I'll get these issues resolved but it could take some time.

Anyway, is there anyone who can help out? I will of course pay the courier costs both ways. It needs to be Respisense as we are going to use our hammock again, so I can't put an under mattress monitor down.

Please let me know if anyone can help out. Would very much appreciate it!

Wow Laurie - haven't been on OB for ages, and can't believe your baby is almost due already!  Where does the time go huh?

I'm not certain, but I think you can hire that type of monitor (a different brand, but does the same thing as Respisense) through SIDS NZ.  Their website isn't working atm, but you could call and ask them about it? 0800 16 44 55

Yeah, I can't believe it either. Am a bit nervous!!

Thanks - I hadn't thought of hiring, so will give them a call tomorrow. Great idea.

Oh, I would love to borrow it, if you're not using it at the moment. Just something to tide me over.

Send me a PM with your bank details and I'll give you some $$ for postage.

Thank you SOOO much!
