Jody has now got ear infection #6 (all 6 in the last few months) and is on the waiting list for grommets. The specialist said it is not from a dairy intollerance. However I would like to try dropping dairy from her diet for a while to see if it helps. Especially as we are flying home for a holiday in a couple of weeks.
So my questions are;
Do I replace cow's milk with soy? Is that how it's done?
Is lactose-free yoghurt the same as dairy-free? Sorry if that's a dumb q :P
Could she still have a little bit of dairy e.g. twice a week at DC she would have food with dairy (macaroni cheese, cheese and crackers), or is it best to go completely dairy free?
TIA

For a start, leave in the little bits but it would probably be better to do it completely as it takes a while to work, but it will be an intolerance rather than an allergy so a small amount might be ok.
Replace butter etc with oil, same weight, so a tbspn of butter = the same of oil in cooking.
Replace milk with soy milk/rice milk/oat milk. Soy & Rice is usually protein enriched whereas the oat milk isn't. They are all calcium enriched.
You can get soy yoghurt. I would use that rather than lactose free yoghurt. Lactose free is still dairy yoghurt.
Arnotts do a range of biscuits without milk in them. Nice are one of them.
Any Q's just ask, am completely dairy & Soy free here so have heaps of hints.
