HI peoples!
We currently use 'real nappies' brand of re usables during the day with a booster but find they are no match to our weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee man at night!!!! Has anyone found a reusable nappy that can cope overnight with big wees? we are using disposables atm.

if you have a really good cover you could use additional boosters, or even another prefold pad folded and instead of placing it on the inside of the nappy lay it between the cover and the nappy. old fashioned flats are very absorbent so you cold use one of those too.. or a basic pocket nappy with good absorbency would work too.

I'm interested in the responses to this too, my lil' guy is a VERY heavy wetter and the longest I can get out of cloth with him is about 4.5 hours in an Itti SIO that has a trifold and hour-glass insert
ETA - and I don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment to go experimenting

Wow, 4.5 hours is more than I get with an itti SIO.
Anyways I find for my weeee wetter, the pop ins with night booster do the trick, I got 4 sets of the night booster, 2 pop in nappies dream dri, and 2 sets of the inners for them, and I rotate those through the wash, but often stuff my pockets with them too. And if thats not enough (should be but hey to be on the safe side) you can add any other inserts you may have lying around, I quite often add a folded in half light microfibre insert in the front as she is a tummy sleeper.
Personally, I think that if you already have pockets, or even just a cover, just buying the night booster (to save money) put your prefold, or any microfibre insert or 2, over the top, put cover over or put in pocket and there you go, very absorbent night nappy.

I agree - in the smalls I used prefolds with a bummi's wrap and a variety of pocket nappies and would just add tons of inserts and boosters for night - but then my girl was tiny so there was tons of extra stuffing room. I'd go hemp or bamboo for the extra absorbency though if you're buying for night time.

Just wanted to add, I agree on the pop-ins. They are fantastic for night nappies. Plus they are OSFA, so you will really get your moneys worth. My DD is still in night nappies, and is quite a heavy wetter overnight, and has never ever leaked out ofher pop-ins. I LOVE them!!!
Also, the other night option I find works well is itti bitti boo's + a cover. Seeing as you already have covers you would only need to buy the boos. I find these last my DD overnight easily too!

I've been using ecobubs for both my 2. But have discovered in the last few nights the have been leaking on both of them DS is in a large and DD is in a medium. They are both stuffed with bamboo/hemp trifolds and 6 layers of micro fibre. AQnd still leakign through the wool of the pocket.
I'm not impressed its seem only the newer ones I have bougth are doing it not the older 2 I have. Weird. I think they changed the way the make them or something as A few other people on here I know are having issues with leaks.
I've been looking at bitti boos. But I'm a little hesatant as DS will last 2 hours in a itti delish AIO and thats all. I already have teh covers so will only need 3 or 4 boo's in each size.

Angiebabe, add in an extra hour glass or trifold to make the SIO go longer, what ever fit without gaping at the legs.
Bessiebear, I use Boo's on my boy, I get the whole night out of them but I extra boost them as well, either with two small boosters or a trifold from a SIO or tonight I've booster with my spare microfibre Tutto insert. AIO's have the least amount of absorbancy. Boo's are like a SIO plus the actual nappy is absorbant.
Bizzy has a great idea re sticking something between the nappy & the cover, you could still do this on a Boo, so you get the trim nappy which is really absorbant & also a little extra boosting without becoming too fitting on bubs.
