OK, I know this is a long shot ... but someone on here may be able to help me .....
We are off to Thailand soon, and will spend some of the time in phuket. We have been searching the internet for ages for accomodation in phuket, so I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions ... this is what we're after:
- 2 bedrooms
- not too far from the beach, and a good pool
- not too expensive (some awseome ones I found are like 600+ a night!)
- preferrably not right in the middle of the "nightlife" (ie noisy)
- some sort of kids club/activity/playground would be great if possible
- somewhere with a good (included in price) breakfast would be good too
We will have our 1 and 3 year olds with us. But we also have hubbys brother and 2 teenage neices with us, so are looking for something with cheap basic rooms for them too.
Any ideas?? Thanks!!

Hey,
I haven't been to Phuket with kids, but I've been to Katathani Resort - It was simply divine !!!
It's right on the beach, has a kiddie pool and slide/kids club, It's a good 20 mins or so away from the main centre (a good thing with kids!!) yet has restaurants and shops locally. I'm pretty sure breakfast in included and it's definitely cheaper that $600 (Keep an eye out on web specials)
Check it out at http://www.katathani.com/index.html
(and have a fabulous trip!!!)

I am sorry if I am not allowed to post this. Can't remember all the rules nowadays.

It looks lovely princess bubs but the 2bdrm suite works out at 864/night so a little too pricey for us!
OK, I may do kiwi2, thanks ....

Have you tried asking the question on the Phuket forum on TripAdvisor? When I lived overseas and did tons of travel I got so many of my best travel ideas and hotels from recommendations on there.

Good idea. I've looked at reviews on there but didn't realise you could ask questions ... might have another look ....
