I went to bunnings last year and they had these mini indoor plants for $2 each, I got one with purple and silver stripes on the leaves- Trust me you cant kill it, it grows like a weed and is soooo pretty. Otherwise a spider plant they are good, they look like a flax and grow lots of baby ones (its a hanging type of one).

I second Spider Plants.

Also Coleus is a nice plant too. Doesn't stay tiny, it grows to the size of pot that it's in, but it's easy care (seriously, water it and give it some indirect sunlight and it flourishes!) and looks quite pretty. I think there is a green and a purple version.
I have a green one in my bathroom and it loves it!

Umm.. Maidenhair fern is another nice one. Keep it moist and it's happy. Quite drapey though, but no worse than a spider plant.
