Hi all
Just wanted to get some feed back on this, DD goes down at 7pm and is woken at 10pm for a small botle and is back down by 10.30pm and sleeps throgh till 7am (she is a dream sleeper really) But lately she is getting really cranky when we wake her for this 10am feed, and it takes a lot more effort to get her to drink the bottle. I thought we had to wait till she started solids before we drop this feed., but sh is only just 4 months and ideally wont be getting solids till 6months She is also not all that hungry at 7am, at first yes, but doesnt feed that much THANKS! I always just feed DS when ever he woke up, I didn't wake him. So maybe you could just try letting her sleep and I am sure she will wake up when she is hungry. ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

| Perhaps experiment and see what happens if you miss this feed. She might sleep through?! If it doesn't work, you can always go back... |

I would just cut it out and see what she does, she may sleep through or she may wake you a couple-few hours later for a feed and then back to sleep until maybe later than usual iygwim. I found it to just be trial and error really. No real 'rules' to it. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Dream sleeper alright! Lucky you!
I kept dream feeding for ages. I figured it was quick and I was up, so might as well, and it got me a better night sleep. But I agree, try dropping it and see what happens. Good luck! |

I found when K was about 3 1/2 to 4 mths, I was dream feeding at 11pm, but when I forgot one night she just slept through and that was that, I still have my wonderful 7 to 7 sleeper :D ------------- Kiara is 3 and Teagan is 2, now we're expecting our long awaited 3rd! http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

Milly, I thought you weren't meant to feed them whilst they were asleep, but feed them during the asleep/restless stage...? My PN told me to do a dream feed but said only during the restless stage. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

So we decided to drop the night feed on friday night. thought we would give it a go, cause if it all went to pot, i could sleep on saturday and catch up!

If my kids were sleeping I let them be, I never tried feeding them as it often back fired and Id be trying to settle them for ages.
I say if she wants to sleep let her and just feed her when she wakes  even if she does wake in the night for a feed, thatss till really normal for a 4 month old ------------- |

I agree, if she is asleep I'd leave her. I personally fed on demand so never woke DS to feed him though. ------------- Our Angel July 08  Gone but not forgotten

i would never wake either....
glad you had progress. i was shocked to hear of this 'dream feeding'.....had never heard of it with my other two. i always thought it was the worst thing you could do- wake a sleeping baby to feed when we want them to sleep through.??? i spose the promise of sleep drives us mothers to try anything..haha ------------- http://www.magicalkingdoms.com/timers/">
