Hey there,
So what are you girls all thinking with your baby due soon - are you excited/nervous/anxious? I am at the stage now where I am getting pretty excited and nearly ready to meet my little man - well I would like him to bake a little longer of course but I can't wait to see what he looks like and give him lots of cuddles

I am getting very excited! Have washed baby clothes and blankets this week which are soo cute! Nearly have hospital bag packed. Just need to get a carseat then we are all set! I wish we knew when she would arrive tho,..but at least we know we will have a baby sometime in the next 6 1/2 weeks ( hopefully sooner)!

I am starting to get excited - can't wait to cuddle wee baby!
Still not quite ready though as have two more weeks of work and then want to enjoy my time off for a bit and do some more 'nesting'. I think once I spend time doing that I will be REALLY excited!!

i'm getting very excited and nervous! packed my hospital and labour bags last night which was very exciting but i'm feeling very nervous about having to actually 'deliver' this baby
jack was a c-section so this is kinda like having my first baby all over again and i don't know what to expect, what's going to happen and how i'm going to labour and cope with it all. i know i'll be fine and i can't wait to meet my little bubba....and FINALLY know what sex it is

On Monday I'm 37 weeks, and would happily go into labour at that stage if I could!!  Though the house isn't ready for baby, I've realised it just won't be... even if she's 2 weeks late, it won't be.  The pinga's to do it are nowhere to be seen!    I'm really excited to meet our little girl, and I do want the labour and recovery over and done with, not looming up ahead still.  I'm more excited than scared about it - dunno if that'll change closer to the time or not - have to wait and see!

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Labour and delivery isn't soooo scary to me as I've done it before, I'm more nervous about the possible complications with twins. I went back and read my labour notes from when I had Maya which brought back memories!

I'd like my girls to stay in till 36 weeks, but if they arrive sooner then I'm happy with that too - as long as they are in one piece (or two pieces )

I'm starting to get really excited now - even though its still afair way off for me! Having reached the 3rd trimester now, things have suddenly started to feel a whole heap more real, and I realised how quickly it will come around! (although, I'm sure in the weeks leading up to babys EDD, time will drag soooooo slowly )

I am also looking forward to feeling "normal" again after this little baby comes out. Things like being able to paint my toe nails, shave my legs, roll over in bed without it taking aaaagggeeesss!!

With Maya I actually found the last 8 weeks once I got to 30 weeks flew by really quickly. MIght have been coz it was Xmas, then New Years, then my Grandad died, then Anniversary weekend then Waitangi etc. but it just seemed to disappear on me.

I'm starting to get excited now... mainly, I think, because we're borrowing a bassinet (Thanks again, Nikki!) and it's here now and set up in the lounge

Xav will be in our room initially, and I've nearly finished making room for the bassinet to go into there... just got to sort out a box full of stuff that all go elsewhere in the house but I'm not exactly sure where most of it is going to live!

Nat and I both think this baby boy is going to bless us with his presence early... we're both hoping I don't join the September Mummies thread... late October would be far more preferable.

Oh Jack's Mum, I feel for you as that was where I was at with my second child, a VBAC. I was mostly worried because I didn't know whether I was in for another emergency c/s OR vbac OR both In the end it turned out fine. I opted for epidural (since it was soooo nice the first time!) but I won't be doing that again as I found it was too distracting with pushing. Things went pretty well and now my chances of another c/s are very low. Yay!

I am more impatient now than anything else - I think it stems from being nervous about the actual labour and just wanting to get it over and done with really...man if I could induce myself TODAY i WOULD lol! But babies come in their own time I guess...just have to wait and it will all be worth it...

I could imagine feeling that way towards the end of my pregnancy too - wouldn't it be cool if you could just say to yourself ok I want baby to come out on this particular day but unfortunately it doesn't happen that way does it?? You haven't got long to go now Mrs Frantic - I can't wait till I get closer

Wow, Frantic - you're close enough that it mightn't be so bad to try a few of those old wives tales about what brings labour on...          heck, I'll be buying the evening primrose oil on my due date I think!!!  Gets to that stage where you pay attention to every little twinge that much more though, doesn't it!  I was just saying last night though, if I knew the day she'd arrive, I wouldn't sleep for days beforehand so it's for the best that I don't know when the big event will be!

Sure does!!  I had a 'stop the train I wanna get off' moment yesterday, but now it seems each day something happens which makes me wonder if labour's starting soon, and I think of what we haven't got ready for bubs yet, and go 'stuff it... come on, baby, we just want to meet you and have you here to hold'!
