DD has always been a good sleeper and from a couple months was doing 7am-7:30am.
Just recently she has been sleeping alot longer and its starting to make me worry.
Because of the heat and if we have family BBQ's she goes to bed any time between 7pm and 8:30pm and she wont wake until 10am. Shes still asleep now
Is this too much sleep? Should i be worried?
Depending when she wakes up she still have 1-2 sleeps during the day aswel.

DP thinks its normal but I can't help but worry about it.

Tbh I don't know but she certainly sleeps longer than my 10.5 mo!

DD goes down between 7-8.30pm and wakes about once or twice depending and is up for the day between 6-7.30am... Has her first nap after 2.5 hours for about 1.5-2 hours and another nap about 2.30pm for again 1.5-2hours... HTH.

If you are worried you could visit your GP?

Has she always done it?
Reason I ask is, when DD sleeps longer; it's usually because she is sick or something isn't right.

What is she like when she is awake? Is she active & responding to things? Are you concerned during the day when she is up?

I think the heat drains them as I see it with my kids. Someday I could quite easy curl & for a nap if given the chance.

Make sure she is not too hot when asleep & if her longer sleep in affecting day sleeps to much then you could get her back into the routine if you are concerned about that.

She may be going through a growth spurt & needing more sleep...maybe saving energy for getting ready to walk could be lots of normal reasons.

There is always something to worry about when being a parent.

If concerned see a Dr or ring health-line.
