DD has started to regularly produce enormous wees that are too much for her medium d'lish to handle and they are leaking out one or both leg holes and requiring a change of pants and sometimes wetting what/who she is sitting on
She is 9.5 kg and has just started walking.
I'm going to try adding boosters in the first instance, but that is probably only a short term solution, right? Will going to large d'lish solve the problem, or do I need to investigate alternatives? Any recommendations?

I would try the large size ones, my girl is just under 9kg and she fits them good, they definatly hold more pee than the mediums, I find the mediums hold 2 small pees and the larges 3 small pees- my girl hasnt got to the super peeing stage yet!

My boy isn't even 8kg yet and he fits the larges well so you should be fine...he does have massive thighs though!

If you like Ittis, you could also try Tuttos. I find they're much more absorbent than the D'Lish. DS has started holding his pee for longer, then when he goes there's a lot to contain! His large D'Lish are starting to fail in that regard, but his Tuttos are much better for holding the larger volume!

Itti bitti is releasing some new limited edition prints soon, like the next week or 2. The SIO definatly hold more than the AIO, and I agree with whitewave about the tutto, they can hold lots, and you can snap in extra bits, and parts from the SIO. I managed to bulk mine up one night with bits and it last all night! The poo fence definatly helps in keeping the pee in too.

Tutto are great, especially cause the hip snaps & that you can add/lay in other boosters to make them super absorbent.

I had trouble with the med ones too and once I put him into large, it seemed better. But my meds were AIO and my large are SIO!

Wow, Oliver is in meds already, Mel? Is he a bit chubbier than Jake?
I had to grab a spare nappy tonight after Campbell wet through his Tutto (damn him for proving me wrong! Trust me though, it doesn't happen often, the wetting through Tuttos!). Anyway, I grabbed his old medium, and it still fits him at 23 months! The elastic is pretty buggered though!

I'm limiting myself to one new Tutto print when they come out, since I'm also getting a couple of the new Grovia prints when they come out, but I can't decide whether to get the Aqua Essence or Beach Stripe! Tough decision!

T-Rex, Cooper was leaking through his med ittis every time for about a week or so, I decided to do a strip wash just in case but even that didn't seem to help.
But weirdly it only seemed to last that week or so, he is now wearing both med and large and we haven't had leaks since.
And yes, I'm eagerly awaiting the new prints too...

Whitewave.. I KNOW!!!! He is boringly average and I love it Jake is 9.5kg and still has the tabs meeting or one snap free in the middle (the large AIO fits poorly and the SIO no way) and Ollie has the tabs meeting! Ollie has chubba thighs and a big bum lol
oh the new prints are GORGEOUS!

I am going to get the danube and beechworth for my daughter- so can't wait!! I'm not sure how much Liv weigh's at the moment, but i'm thinking of getting larges from here on in. She already has two poppers free in the middle on her mediums and she is not yet 4 months.
Also, is there anything slimmer fitting than an itti AIO? I still struggle with her bodysuits not being long enough with the cloth, and am finding pants not fitting very well around her butt either :(

oh bugger, I have some large SIO that I got off trade me and the elastic is naffed, and I suck at sewing, but I knew they were naffed, and only got them for the inserts anyway!

I'm so proud of myself - I actually fixed one
I figured I'd start with one and see if it worked before I went to all the bother of doing the lot, and she's wearing it now and so far so good. It's looking pretty snug around her legs, so I'm pretty stoked I don't have to spend $350 on new ones!
What colours are your covers aethelia... I might be interested

http://seeitmakeit.blogspot.com/2010/02/repairing-elastic-on-itti-bitti-aio.html
I got this off here a while ago when someone else posted the link. Um I have a dark purple and a green one- it isnt the lime and its not the dark green, its in between- they are old colours that you cant buy anymore. The covers are in great condition except for the elastic being naffed.

hmmm well they leaked at start and i put it down to not being washed enough, but now i cant think that that would be the problem anymore. i soaked my AIOs and SIOs a bit at the start so maybe i need to do that to the tuttos too?

if you look up itti bitti on facebook, they will be able to help out, I just occasionally do a vinegar only wash, and then a hot wash, but I havent ahd any problems with my tutto- maybe you could try having a microfibre booster under the top one?
