| So, we've moved out to the country and I want to dig a vege garden. Trouble is I don't have the green thumbs in my family. Where do I start? What can I plant that will grow relatively quickly now to bolster my confidence?!? |

Tomatoes, lettuce, zuchinni, beans are all really easy. Best thing would be to buy the plants as seedlings cause its late in the season. As it gets colder you can plant brasiccas- brocolli, cauliflower etc... You dont need to clear a big space, just enough for your plants, dig the soil down about 20cm and plant away. Water maybe every second day- depends on what soil you have, but if you dig down 5cm and its still damp wait another day. Good luck -------------

where are you? I planted loads on boxing day and they are going mad with all the heat and rain in auckland
