Hi,

Now I am off work for quite a long time, i figured I really would like to do dinner, something DH has always done as he likes to cook, however he likes spicy quite adventurous things which then doesn't often suit DS.

I am just keen to get some ideas and recipes on dinners that the whole family love as i feel like I always cook the same two dishes.

Thai green(or red) curry
Wraps
Butter chicken. Korma. Vindaloo. All can be done with beef, chicken or lamb pretty much.
Lasange
Shepherds pie
Fish pie
home-made pizza
Cous cous
Rice risotto
Pasta bake
Any type of pasta (we do a nice pesto one, and a nice smoked chicken one)
Any type of veg&spud with steak, sausages, weiner snitzel, sloppy mince, fried meatballs...
Mediteranian meatballs..
Potato bake. Vege bake.

I'll often stand in front of all the maggi sachets for a while and pull inspiration from them Then you can buy like 5 sachets, then there is 5 meal ideas... Good for when you are just starting out to try new things......

youcould always do a curry and take out a portion before you add too much seasoning for the grown ups.

Nice ideas!!

In the last week i've cooked shepherds pie and a pasta bake oh and a korma curry thing which DS ate one day then totally ignored another day grrrrrrrrrrr.

Pasta bakes would go down well or veg bakes, DS is a big pasta eater, any recipes.

As its summer we've been doing a lot of cold meats and salads which has been good its quick to get ready after work, but I feel like we've all been living on chicken and salad for a while now.

I might hover round the sachet eisle as well see what I can spot

Fiona we do 2 nice pastas

one is a smoked chicken pasta. Buy one smoked chicken, creamy cabonara sachet, cream + pasta and cook it all up.

Pesto dip, can of tomatoes, some sweet chilli sauce (to make it chilli if you want), chicken (or salami) and then pasta. We cook it all up and then will throw in the oven with a little grated cheese on top-YUM!

In either of them we'll throw frozen peas, mushrooms, capsicum, corn, salami, bacon... Pretty much whatevers in the cupboard and whatever we feel like ;)
