Has anyone's baby/child got this?
My son has it (11 months) on his face, arms and legs and although it doesn't annoy him at all it doesn't look very nice on a young baby (esp face). Has anyone got any good tips or good lotions/potions?
Thanks

kezza2112 DS has a very mild 'rash' that just makes his skin slightly bumpy under his forearms. My GP thought it was foliculitis at first but then put it down to mild.. something.. I'm so sorry but I can't remember what it was (shocking I know).
I was told not to use any soap whatsoever, only aqueous cream which I got a big tub of. I also use 'Fatty Cream' on it at night and that has helped it dramatically and it's basically gone now. Have you tried it?
Sorry I can't be of more help but I didn't want to read and run.
ETA - the Fatty Cream came from my GP also, a huge tub of it that will last for ages

Yep, DD has this on her legs and upper arms. Dr has prescribed Urea cream for her, twice a day. When I remember to do it, it seems to work quite well!!!
They also said no soap etc, but that didn't make any difference so can't be bothered with that any more.

Check out the dermnet nz site for good info (dermatologist recommended it - you may have already seen it if you've been googling). I think it suggests a urea cream - I quite like nutraplus, which you can get on prescription or from the pharmacy.

That's it, Nutraplus, we get it free on prescription (free dr visit too, YAY PHO's!" as opposed to $10/tube.

Not sure about babies/kiddies but Ive had it on the backs of my arms and occasionally on my back since i was about 10 years old.
Best cures ive found are
- Exfoliation (bit hard on a babies face i know...) I either use a mit or loofah or brush. This is the best cure for me these days, if I can remember to do it 4-5 days in a row it all but disapears completly.
- A cream called "Dream Cream" from a shop called Lush
- Sun. Mine always gets worse in winter for some reason. Cant explain how sun helps but it does.
Sorry i cant be of more help, just figured any suggestion is better than nothing!

yep i've got this on the backs of my arms too - have had since birth. It definitely gets better in summer and worse if I let my skin get too dry or I get stressed.
