Hi everyone,

We currently have a Radian for our 7 month old as I really want to keep him rear facing as long as possible. My Mum wants to buy a car seat for her car as she will be looking after him a few days a week once I go back to work. What would be a cheaper alternative as I know she won't be keen to spend the $500 we did for our Radian? Obviously I still want one that is safe!

Any info would be much appreciated :)

I started a thread kinda similar its about four from the bottom of this page - Recommend your not too $$ carseat.

Cosco scenara RF is a good price for a second seat but you can't use it to FF for very long.

Otherwise I think you will have to spend around $400.

The Evenflo one I ended up getting specs changed so no longer RF to 15 kg only 13.

Had a friend need to get a long term rear facing car seat due to having a baby with special needs. She decided on a Brio Zento
