I just use the toasted muesli recipe from the Edmonds cookbook.  Last time I added cranberries (they were on special) and it was yum.  This time I will probably double the honey mixture that you mix into it and keep the cranberries.

This is the one I use and its yummo

12 cups rolled oats
4 cups coconut
2 cups wheatgerm
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup crushed nuts

Bake for 2 hours at 110oC - stirring frequently

Then melt together 1 cup cooking oil, 2 Tbsp honey, 1 tsp of vanilla and add to dry ingredients as soon as they come out of oven. Mix thoroughly. When cold add dried fruit. Store in airtight container.

I usually only put sultanas and dices apricots in but you can use whatever fruit you want.

KerryLea yours sounds yum!  I'm halfway through making my usual one but I think I'm going to modify it so it is more like yours!

I just get wheatgerm from the supermarket.  It's with all the baking stuff.  As for what it is...this is what the packet of mine tells me (!)...wheatgerm is from the middle of the wheat grain and is removed during the milling of white flour.  I had no idea...!

Mine has just come out of the oven and smells good.  I mixed up all the dry ingredients from the edmonds cookbook version with chopped almonds and no sunflower seeds (only because I ran out).  Instead of mixing it before toasting I cooked mine the way KerryLea described and then added a smaller quantity of her liquids (just because I only have 3 cups of rolled oats in mine.  I'll add cranberries when it is cooled.

I use a mixture of maple syrup and honey. Mix rolled oats, pumpkin, sunflower, sliced almonds.
when all golden I add thread coconut and diced apricots.
the maple syrup makes it really yummy and not to sweet
.You can used either cheap stuff or the more pricey, just depends on your budget.
I love to serve it with plain yogurt and stewed berries.
