well the title suggest most of what this thread is about, except for one major issue! My son is on Goats milk, cant have soy or dairy so cant use cream to thicken it up. Also cant have eggs as is HIGHLY allergic to them.

Anyone have tried & true recipes? I got an ice cream maker yesterday and have just made up a recipe i found on google, but it hasnt thickened. i think maybe cos i used rice milk?

Any suggestions?

Hi there,
not sure if this is quite what you are looking for but I chop up bananas freeze them then wizz them up while frozed with a bit of milk, you should be able to use any kind sometimes I add a bit of vanilla essence or frozen berries but it mixes up to a soft serve thickness/texture and is a yummy low fat option for dessert and could be dairy free - good luck
