Where does your baby sleep during the day?
I am trying to decide what to do with Ethan during the day so i don't have to keep bringing his basinette out to the lounge with me everyday.

Maya always slept in her cot. We differentiated between night and day by having the curtains half open during the day so that it was only semi-dark, versus dark at night time.

Hannah always slept in her room during the day. Unless she fel asleep in her buggy if we went out, then I just left her in that in her room.

When Alex was really little, maybe for the first month he often slept in his bassinet in the lounge during the day. (it was on wheels so easy to move) Since then he has always slept in his bedroom.

I'm going to have a problem if the twins fall asleep in their buggy while we are out walking - it doesn't fit thru the front door!

Ahh, just leave them outside w3ith the door open. We used to let Jake sleep in his carseat and prop it under a tree in the shade in the park when he was really little.

I am with Maya - For my daughter (who was our best sleeper) I always slept her in her own room. During day so there was a difference I use to leave the curtains open and night closed and very little light when feeding. She did fall asleep in her bouncer a few time which I didn't mind and would either leave her in it or put her into her bassinette. going to do the same with this one..

Linelle if you're worried about hearing him from the bedroom when he wakes, you could get a baby monitor. They are especially helpful if you have a second child and want to close the door (so the toddler doesn't wake the baby).

LOL Maya used to be really scratchy between 4-7pm and want to be carried around all the time, one night I had her under the baby gym and wondered why she was so quiet - she had crashed out in there. So cute!

when x was really little i used to just let her sleep in her bouncer (ours is one that can be flattened down) in the living room. so she got used to lots of noise around her from a young age. After about 2 months (i think???) i started putting her in her bassinette for sleeps, but only when she had started some semblence of a routine. i just couldnt be arsed going back and forth to get her if she was only going to sleep for 45 mins! not sure if i will do that with this baby, as i imagine she will be a magnet for cats and older sisters....

when jack was a baby he slept in the bassinette in the lounge during the day. it has wheels so it's easy to move around and i wanted him to get used to the noises. once he was sleeping through the night (about 7wks) he always slept in his cot, with curtains half open during the day.
will do the same with this bubs.......depending on how jack behaves

Madison sleeps in her cot or pram during the day i don't drive so when we go and drop Kalem off at school which is only 10 minute walk away she normaly sleeps in there for about an hour and normally has a 2-3 hour sleep in her cot during the day when kalems at school and another 1 hour one when we go and pick him up. I tired to leave the curtins open for madison but she didn't really seatle as well as when they were shut. She sleeps though the night so i think she nos the difference between night and day now i think it helps that she sleeps next to the kitchen she can hear the gooings on during the day

I didnt worry about leaving urtains open during the day, and the day and night thing. I figured she was learning about asleep (dark) and awake (light). dunno, but worked for us and she was sleeping all night by 10 weeks.

i always put them back in their bed to sleep and i never bothered about the curtains, if they were open i left them. my husband tho has a thing about shutting the curtains if they are sleeping even in the day. gabriel would sleep thru anything, vacuum, banging, the radio. i never tiptoed around the bassinette.
linelle is your house that big that you wouldnt hear the baby if it woke up???
