So... there I was getting all of Caitlin's newborn stuff out (stuff she has grown out of) and was sorting it to put it all on Trade Me.
Hubby walks in and goes "don't you think it would be better to keep all that for number 2?"

Before we had Caitlin we always talked about only having ONE child and after a "not so nice" labour, we agreed that she would have to be a spoilt only child (in a nice way tho )

and now look!!!!! in the words of the late Steve Erwin "CRIKEY!!!!!!"

I told DH it was all his fault I was pregnant again this time. I told him that he has to put up with everything I do or say and can't do or say anything about it as he really wanted the next baby and I was wanting to wait a few more months and start trying next month, instead i'll be 5 months pregnant next month.

well "lucky" for me we can't even think about starting to try for at least a year as I had a CS and we have to make sure the incision is properly healed *wipes brow*

I think it was kinda my fault tho... We were at the mall and it seemed that every second woman was preggy and I said "aww I miss being preggy" but thats all - now he wants bubba #2

sam is completely the opposite. he is totally against the idea of having another baby and wants to get a vasectomy. me on the other hand, i'd maybe like another one somewhere down the track, not too soon but i definitely want my options to be open.

I always wanted two children and I had a very cruisey(sp??) pregnancy, tho I had a CS and a 48 hour labour!!!

Hubby on the other hand wants three....I told him that if our second baby is a girl (OH GOD...I hope not)...then we will try for number three but if it is a boy then full stop!!!

Yea Daniel has said to me that he only wants one and wants to get a vasectomy but i have talked him out of that because two reasons. 1. He is only 27 and may want another child someone where down the track and 2. I want two children.

Daniel said he would like more kids if he can just drop me off at the hospital and come back when I'm done!! lol. In fact he doent want me to have to go through labour again - such a sweetie. But I think we want one more, not for a few years tho.

Well my DH dropped this one on me the other day - he wants 4 children!! I was like "WTF!!" - we have been together for nearly 9 years and never once - ever ever - has he ever mentioned wanting 4 children!! I told him Hell No but he is still pretty keen to just keep going after this one. Well - we already have one and this would be two but another two - I just don't think I am that kinda woman!!

Mike, In the very early days, always said he didn't want any kids. Once we had Paris, he was happy with one.. then along came Ayja.. (i had always wanted 2 at least) and well, sometime she still is adamant that 1 would have been fine (usually when they are both being grotters and he's had enough of them beating each other up)   we always thought it would be so hard to get a vasectomy cos we are only 24. nope. He has booked himself in for the 9th October. So in Around 2 weeks, all thoughts of keeping any options open for a "maybe baby" is a few years... will be gone.   Realistically, I know we couldn't probably afford or have enough time, for another baby, especially with both working and trying to fit in enough time for our 2 girls right now.. but sometimes theres that little "what if" still there, because4 i think we still have plenty of love to give another baby... and there's the wondering if the next one would have been a boy (i know it wouldn't have, it would have been a girl again i bet)

So right now am, well, not grieving, but kinda just making peace with the fact that my preggy and baby days are over.

I always suggest to people that they don't definitely decide "no more" until the baby is a year old. Basically because those first few months can be really hard going and it's too easy to make a quick decision you later regret.

As for us, it was the other way around. We had always talked about having a big family, we just didn't discuss numbers until I was pregnant with #1. Then DH overheard me saying to someone "up to 8" and he was like "what! 4's a big family!" lol

I guess that's what you get when one of 10 (me) marries one of 4 (him)

DH and i are both from families of 3 kids. i've always told him i wanted 3 if the first 2 were the same sex and he's only ever wanted 2.    now...i know this will be the last one we have, i haven't enjoyed this pregnancy that much. it's most likely another boy but i know if i tried for a girl, it would only end up in us having 3 boys...no thanks!
so, i've accepted the fact that i will probably never have a daughter

I really really want a boy next....I told hubby that if I didnt get it...it will be his fault (well it will be...)

I always thought that I will have a girl first and then a boy (may be because our family was the same???)
