I seem to be getting an unholy amount of leaks from my naps and im sure i'm fitting them wrong. DS just managed to wet the bed and his clothes but the nap was totally dry. I would have sworn it was tight enough around the legs and waist. Yesterday i got a leak out the back of a tutto which i think is because i had the inserts sticking out the back just a little bit and it escaped that way but todays one i can't explain at all!
Halp? Fitting for dummies please

With boys it's really important to make sure they're pointing down into the nappy...otherwise the liquid can squirt out before it goes anywhere near the absorbent bit.
Are you using ittis? If they're in the leg creases and snug enough that you can just slip a finger in they're perfect...and the same around the waist.
DS has chunky thighs and a narrow-ish waist so I do up the leg snap, then miss a snap and do up the waist snap a bit tighter...does that make sense?

Yes it sounds like i have it right...maybe he is a pee houdini. I learnt pretty quickly about pointing down when he was brand new after three x in a row he wet up his side!
Its not like its every nap, just one every couple of days so i must get it right most of the time - its coming up three days poo-free so i am preparing for the mega poo and was like man, if he can pee out the side this isnt going to end well...lol.
Thanks

At least with a poo you dont need to 'position' him at every change. Plus breastfeed baby poo is rather nice compared to yukky stinky toddler poo- enjoy it while you can! (bet you never thought you would hear that!)

Is it the same nappy or a small collection of nappies everytime? I had a couple of faulty ittis and once I realised it was always the same nappies leaking and got them replaced I've been all good.
