Rhiannon has this habit of going to sleep while pulling the sheet over her face, if she is in my arms she pulls her bib over her face, and if i pull it off she wakes up.
She is perfectly happy and content when she does this but i was just wondering if it was normal or if anyone elses baby does this. no one in my family does this...so its just weird ------------- http://lilypie.com">

emma my second daughter had a special blankie and she did that too. but when she was a bit older than rhiannon. she still loves to cover her eyes with it.
and i looked after my nephew one night when he wasnt quite a year old and i remeber walking in the room to check on him and he was totally covered under the blanket. i totally freaked out into panic mode and uncovered him and even tok his blankets away (it was summer) and rang my sister! this was a few years ago now! lol, it can be really scarey aye? |

Yep Abby does this with her blankie, I used to freak out and move it and she would wake up as well. She still does it now, thankfully her blanket isn't too thick. I was just in her room, to check on her, not only does she have the sheet up over her eyes, she has a tight grip on the sheet with one hand and her fav doll in the other...its so cute ------------- http://lilypie.com">

i think it's completely normal and as long as u check to make sure she can breath it will be fine. it's probably just a security thing. it must be so cute! ------------- |

I have a friend who's baby did that but his was a cloth nappy. I used to freak out but she said it was normal for him to do that & if you pulled it off him he would wake up..it's a comfort thing..I guess as long as they are able to breath and can't get all tangled up in it, it will be fine... -------------

Thank goodness Billy(5mths) isnt the only one!!He thinks he is sooooo funny!!Scares the poop outta me He does it with everything and if I pull it away he cracks up laughing and grabs something else.Little ratbags!!
