We are about to make the 'big move' from our room to baby's own room. As the temperature has got cold rather quickly we are wondering how best to heat the room. Its approx 3m x 3m so not that big.

We have a small oil-fin heater which does heat the room (back when it was a study) however, it does suck power. We wouldnt want to use an LPG heater because they are too damp and cant afford a heat pump for a room so ...

Any suggestions about what you use and would recommend eg brand/model/where you bought it etc

Thanks!

I have dimplex eco heater- it looks just like an oil column one but is run solely by power. It is way cheaper than the oil ones and you can buy the small size for about $80 from noel leeming. I just have it on the lowest setting all night to take the chill off the air rather than really heat the room up.

The Econo-heaters are awesome. They only have one heat setting but it's just enough to take the chill out of the room. They are more expensive than oil heaters but we opted for them because our toddler couldn't burn herself on them and they are much cheaper to run.

I second the econo heat panels - we had them in our last house and they were great. Didnt make the bedrooms overly hot, but did take the chill off which was all we wanted. And I didnt notice a huge jump in the powerbill either.
