Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has any tips for getting rid of this?

It smells moldy...

Have been using a freshener (one of those hangy things) and have also done a couple of cycles with those cleaner things you can buy but it hasn't made that much difference!

Am I going about it the wrong way?

Advice appreciated

I use baking soda in our dishwasher and sometimes a white vinegar rinse.

Haven't done it for a while but I think I run an empty cycle with baking soda, and then a rinse cycle with white vinegar. Google for something along these lines and you'll find the right mix.

I use baking soda as my dishwash powder most of the time and not only are the dishes clean but it very rarely smells.

Have you given it a good clean - all around the seals and door, around the bottom and scrubbed out the little basket thing that catches food and gets really ?

Ooooo man ours STINKS if you open it just after you have turned it on, it smells foul! We think its the pipes or something, so are going to try one of the cleaners. We clean the filter out all the time but it still stinks.

We had this - turned out one of the pipes was kinked and waste was clogging in the pipes. Only found this out due to a mouse doing $2,500 worth if damage to our kitchen by chewing through the dishwasher hose.

Rach, use the heaviclean, put a little bit in the powder bit & put it on for a full cycle, you will need to run it again to get rid of the froth down the bottom but I found that it cleaned the dishwasher really well. After that I then wiped around the seals around the door to remove the gunk.

I just get that finish dishwasher cleaner - last time I got the active brand and it smells NICE and they work. Another thing to do is to leave the door slightly ajar to let the steam out so it drys out properly, that helps withthe smell too.

I through half a used lemon in the cutlery holder most cycles. You can use it for two or three cycles and everything smells lemony fresh!
