My Mother just sent me this. Luckily it is not my carseat but thought i would post to inform others there has been a product recall for a few carseat models.
Consumer are giving it a recall due to safety concerns?
Jammin Jungle baby seat insert
The problem
There may be a risk of an infant removing foam from the underside of the insert and placing it in their mouth, presenting a choking hazard.
Details
Jammin Jungle Baby seat insert/baby seat softie, item number SP3207. Sold through Supercheap Auto stores since 1 Dec 2008.
What to do
Do not use the insert.Return the product to place of purchasefor a full refund. Contact customercare@winplus.com.au for more information.
Mother's Choice and Baby Wise children's car seats
The problem
Due to a malfunctioning buckle, it could be difficult to unbuckle a child quickly in an emergency.

The following brands and models are affected:
§ Mother's Choice 3-in-1 car seat, model number LB515
§ Baby Wise 3-in-1 car seat,
model number LB513
Sold through SuperCheap Auto, Repco, Farmers, The Warehouse, Smith City and specialty stores between November 2007 to April 2011.

I don't think it's weird. In the Uk it's usual for car shops to sell carseats, they normally have the staff trained to fit them as well.
