As most of you know, we are using cloth nappies during the day, and we had a poplin night nappy, but it is giving Rhiannon nasty nappy rash now that she is in it for 12hrs over night

so what disposable brand etc would you recommend

thanks

I used Huggies for overnight and if I'm worried in anyway that Olivia might get a red bottom I put some Karicare Barrier Cream on. Olivia has never had any "real" nappy rash to speak of though, and a bag of Huggies lasts us nearly 2 weeks.

we use sealer nappies from nappydirect.co.nz or if the $$ aren't there for bulk we get pams ultimate from the supermarket

Huggies are the best for overnight IMO. We have used them from day one and have only had a few leaks overnight. And most of the time it was because Andrew slept for a long time before being changed.

when we don't use Fuzzis, we put Caitlin in Huggies.

Don't know if we're allowed to say this... but I will... We found Treasures to be absolutely useless for anything more than 10 mins! They ALWAYS leaked, from Newborn size to infant-all the same!!! I have spoken to a few other mums about them and they had the same probs

Toni, we found them to be useless (both day and night time) until Andrew was about 18 months old. I have brought some for the next baby so i'll see how they go, only got a few bags so fingers crossed.

Yea I agree about the Treasures. I love Huggies but at the moment am using a English brand which i got 80 for $24.90. What a bargin. Anyone who lives in or around Hamilton check out Nappies for Less at Ham East and Dinsdale. They have good discounts.

I love Treasures! Only the Ultra tho, the Giggles were a disaster. I only used them at night and did the cloth during the day.

I find Huggies the best too, but when they're not on special we go with Giggles. The Giggles are actually better on Ben than Ultra were, he just leaked out of those like a fountain.

Ladies "Softways" are the way forward, a german brand I found them at a baby store in Gisborne and you can buy them at baby online. They are awesome much better and less bulky then huggies (which I use during the day). My 5 month old is in them 12 hrs at night and has never leaked. I thoroughly recommend them they are about $50 a box of 100

hrmmm... other people have mentioned the crystals. Han gets them every now and again... but I've never been worried about it. I just wipe them off.

Other people are more concerned... are the crystals a bad thing?!?!

Nikki - Depends on how much you worry about the chemicals in the nappies...

I like huggies. Had an Air sample from babyonline, that was good as well.

Huggies used to give Maya crystals too. That's not why I didn't use them tho, it's coz they're cut so short and Maya was always long so I was having to buy up a size which means less nappies per pack. The Treasures seem to be cut way bigger.

eewwww hated those gel crystals drying up my babys botty. i loved air... cosies and huggies (both ozzie brands) seemed to be a smaller fit than other brands, dont know wether cause it is they breed small babies over there or what...

fuzzis are brillant I find, or the ones i make myself lol

disposables ... huggies are the best, though i wanted to try those eco ones from the nappy nest place, that are 100% recyclable.
