Hi
I've cooked up some lentils as per an Annabel Karmel recipe. My baby is 8 months old but she isn't too keen on them. Think it might be the garlic.
I've frozen the lentil puree and don't want to throw it out. I'd really like my little girl to like them as they are pretty good for you. Anyone got any suggestions about what I can do to them to make them more appealing for baby? I've already tried adding breastmilk.
Thanks

Add kumara and carrot to them to make them sweeter?

If you dont want to throw them out but are unsure about giving them like that to bubs, how about making a lentil soup? Its something we make all the time as its cheap, hearty and tasty. You could try this one and add your puree to it: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/lentil-soup/Detail.aspx - Lentil Soup
You might find that she will be more keen to eat them if you are eating them too. We have fed this to our boy (while we are having it for dinner) with much success.

Keep trying them on her, as well. Jacob often isn't hugely keen on a new taste the first time he has it, but will get used to it if it's offered multiple times.

thanks. baby will only eat them if I add pureed fruit. In fact, she's developed such a sweet tooth that she wants pureed fruit added to most things or else she won't eat what's put in front of her. very frustrating when you're trying to make sure they get a balanced diet.
last week i made brocoli with cheese sauce. she's tasted it about five times and still doesn't like it.
are there any tricks to stop your baby being such a picky eater?
