Just a few questions for people that already have these for their little ones. We live in Auckland but my gal loves being outdoors even in the rain (actually, she loves being in the rain) so they're for scrambling around in wet grass and shallow puddles.

I'm happy to spend money on them but would want them to last a while so how adjustable are the different brands?
Do you recommend them being lined or unlined?
Do I want elastic at the ankles or not?

Thanks.

I've got a friend with the silly billy's overalls & she rates them.

we have got kruizy kids- unlined with elastic on the bottom. Got a size 1 for Ella and the last time we wore them she was 3 ((they were a little short then but still basically fine). Tom wears them now and they are still in good condition. they are adjustable on the shoulders.

Liked the unlined so I can just pop them over his normal pants. I find them find if he is playing on wet ground but if he gets really wet then his pants underneath so feel slightly damp afterwards.

If you come to CG this week I could bring my pair along if you want to have a look

We have Puddle ducks, which are great. They have adjustable shoulder straps and the elastic at the bottom of the legs works for me because the size one is a bit long for my 15 month old and it stops her tripping up. They cost about $33 and you buy them at the puddle ducks website. You probably don't need lined in Auckland, and i usually put them on over the top of the pants she has on anyway so I don't have to change her twice. She's gone through some heavy duty mud and the pants underneath have stayed clean!

Aiden (almost 18months) has puddlejumpers and I think they are great- we got the smallest size, and the adjustable shoulder straps are at the tightest setting and will last at least next winter.
They are unlined, which I like cos they go over is clothes, like the oters have said. They roll up small and I take them in his nappy bag when we go out so can use them at playcentre, park etc as needed, without having to undress him first.
