There are some options at http://www.pregoli.co.nz/shop/maternity-clothing/special-occasion-maternity-clothes.html - Pregoli . It's an online business located in Chch though so you wouldn't be able to try before you buy...could return/exchange though if it wasn't what you wanted.

Also - what about Egg Maternity? I'm pretty sure they'd have breastfedding options too and a store in Auckland.

I find breastfeeding clothing so ridiculously priced so I just opt for dresses with a nice shaped neckline, a deep v or something like that.

I was a bridesmaid while breastfeeding and our dresses were strapless. I just took a big tshirt with me...when it came to feeding time, I put the tshirt on over my dress then undid the dress and folded it down to my waist under the tshirt. worked perfectly! Might need a little help doing your bra and dress up afterwards, but it was no drama.

I managed to score a cheap maternity wrap dress at Savemart- have you thought about trying somewhere like that?
I also have bought a dress from http://www.mummymaternity.co.nz - Mummy Maternity for a wedding- there's not a huge range but I was lucky to find something in my size that I love.

Mama2Be has a pop up shop selling some end of lines- its based in Grey Lynn (2A Hakanoa Street) so could be worth a look?

Have you had a look at Asos.com? Free worldwide shipping and the exchange rate is fab at the moment. I'm gutted I didn't find this site until after I have no use for maternity clothes! These are a few nursing dresses I found under the sale section:

23 pounds ($50NZ)

15 pounds

20 pounds

21 pounds

Thank you for all the great ideas!- especially the money saving ones. I thought I would just have to pay heaps for something that looked nice, which was annoying as I'll probably only wear it once - so it's great to get some possible places to find a nice dress at a good price :)

Whatever you do, don't go near Maternity Direct. They've had so much bad feedback lately... orders arriving with items missing, different style sent, refunds taking ages etc. Just a heads up.
