| hi i was just wondering how long do you have to wait to get a blood test to confirm pregnancy as i do not want to wait for my next period. i have lost two babies with spina bifida and am nervous about the possibility of another pregnancy but the earlier we find out the more accurate we can be for tests like cvs |

Sorry I don't know how early. I had a blood test done on the first day of my missed AF and that was able to confirm pregnancy, but don't think our clinic was willing to do one before that. Would you not have to wait so long in to your pregnancy to find that out about spina bifida?

BT results don't take long to get back but it is best to wait till AF is late before doing blood tests to confirm pg.
CVS test are done around 11-12 weeks & it takes 1-2 weeks for results. You can do hpt with early results. Hope all goes well for you
