I am looking for a bear for DS. Something similar looking to the pumpkin patch ones in style. My mom has her bear from when she was a child and it has weathered 50+ years of life albiet missing an eye and rough around the edges. It is something she really treasures and i would like DS (or me if he doesnt want it) to have such a keepsake as well. Most of the bears i have seen instore are poorly made - can anyone reccomend a reputible bear maker?

Thanks Pudgy! The first link is quite xxy (too much so considering he will play with it!) but the second was genius, especially because of the xmas stockings halfway down the page. Have been looking for something appropriately hidieous for Max

Yeah the prices were a little ridiculous but those were the only 2 NZ ones that came up. Maybe try putting the second one into price spy or something because a few places sell them

Ballentines in Chch used to have some 'nicer' toys too - but no idea what state they're in at the moment.

I wonder if it's worth looking overseas with the dollar as it is? Not that I really know how - but you could try a google and see if anything reputable pops up?

Bears with attitude (wellington) has the most wonderful range, and they will order in anything if they don't have it in stock. The staff were super helpful too.
