Hi there

Just wondered if there was anyone out there who has been or is under the care of the midwifery service offered by Auckland City Hospital. It would be great if you could share your thoughts about them - what you thought of their service etc.

It seems to be really hard to get an independent midwife as they never seem to answer the phone and don't respond to messages. I am 6 weeks now and loads of people have told me that I am fast running out of time to find a "good" one (whatever that means - how would you know??)

Thanks

I had a KYM (know your midwife) midwife through the Waitakere Hospital maternity services and she was awesome! You tend to get seen by specialists at the hospital sooner and you still get to build up a rapport. You can ask to meet a couple from the service so that you can have a chat and ask questions before committing to anything.
