well, saw my midwife last night, who said i was fully engaged, baby can't get any lower with out coming out, but what i was wondering, and forgot to ask is, how long can it stay like this for, does it mean that it could realisticly happen in the next day or so. only thing is i haven't had any other signs of labour,
any insight would be much appreciated,
also my m/w goes away on tuesday for a few days so it would be good if it came before then.

I think they can stay like that for a few days, even weeks. One of mine has been D3 for close to a month (which is 3/5 of the way down). On the other hand, some babies don't engage at all before labour.

Sending you some labour vibes and hoping bubs comes soon for you tho!

I am over due, and just saw midwife and bubs is now 3/5 down. Last week when bubs was 2/5 down, she said I could go into labour like that, and she said some people's bubs are fully engaged and can stay like that for a few weeks. So I dont think its a very accurate indication of when u will give birth really. I guess it means there is a lot more pressure on your cervix, which is bound to be uncomfy, and u think it would get things going quicker!

I was like that Ella was as low as she could go and the midwife also said if she was any lower she would fall out but i unfortunately stayed like that for about 6 weeks it was most uncomfortable
