Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had a positive outcome from their HCG's dropping/and having bleeds, then them suddenly turning around and rising again?

Am new to all of this, as they didn't monitor my levels with previous pregnancies, no need to. I have had brown/light spotting for the last 2 days, and then today woke up to bright red blood. Still no real cramping though, no clotting that I've seen and it appears to have eased off again.

Thing is I feel fine, and the bleeding keeps stopping and starting....driving me nuts, and apparently my HCG went from 4150 at the start of last week and then on fri it was back down to in the 3000's ...

Anyone had a similar experience?

TIA

I think hcg will only rise again if it were an ectopic pregnancy as it can do it for that but not for a normal pregnancy. Sorry!

Just seems odd that my bleeding keeps stopping/starting and no real pain as such. I did a quick google search and they said they can drop with a bleed and then rise again in the instance of losing a twin (and then continuing on to have a healthy pregnancy with just the one), my scan showed a possible second sac (but only 5 weeks at the time so was too early on to confirm that is was) ... I'll hold out hope, the bleeding has again stopped and still no pain whatsoever

if you possibly had a second sack then theres a chance it might be what you said: losing a twin. when can they give you another scan?

other than that I've only heard bad things with friends but there is always a good story out there too

When I miscarried I didn't have any cramping either, just spotting, and otherwise felt fine. I hope this isn't the case for you, but instead just what you listed.

Well I'm being stuffed around by the local hospital, been told they can't do blood tests or a scan for 12 days from now, but that my HCG suddenly had gone up from 3600 to 4800. Unsure what is going on, very frustrating they won't do anything to give us answers etc, going to head back to my Dr and see if she can refer us for a prvt scan or something. Can't believe that 7th Nov is the best they can do.

Oh and definitely NOT an ectopic pregnancy, first scan showed it as being intrauterine.

Oooh, that must be so hard on you. The not knowing would be dreadful (especially as your levels have gone up again). I agree, go to your Dr, see if she can sort something out for you.

Thats crazy about the bloods not being possible - all they have to do is give you a form to go to the pathlab!!! You should be able to either have a scan or the Dr will at least be able to send you for another blood check.
FX for a happy outcome for you
