I'm in the Hutt so a bit far from you but http://www.mainlymusic.org.nz/groups/findagroupinNZ/wellingtonhuttvalley/tabid/65/Default.aspx - here's the link to the Mainly Music groups in Welly - there are a few close to you.

And http://www.wellingtonplaycentre.org.nz/index.php/find-a-centre-mainmenu-39.html - here's the link to the Welly Playcentre's.

Hope that helps

Your local plunket might have coffee groups as well, ours does. Oh, and the local library usually have infant music/story groups which would be a good place to meet other mums.

I'm in the hutt too so also too far away.

Oh, and local churches normally do playgroups as well, they are often a little religion based but not in your face preachy.

I don't much about crofton downs but the libraries have some good childrens activities. I find the rock and rhyme sessions quite good and all the libraries do them, thye also do storytelling sessions for preschoolers so your 2 year old would probably like that.

I an in Ngaio but my two are a bit older. Try the library in Ngaio (Cummings Park library). They have story time and a music session for little ones. There is a good playgroup run at the church on Kenya Street. I don't have any contact details sorry but I am sure if you pop around during the week there will be some one around who can let you know.

If you are looking for some child care the crèche that is tucked inbetween the library and town hall is great. Both of my girls went there before kindy and it was a lovey intro to ECE. I am not sure what the wait list is at the moment but you might find it a life saver once the new baby arrives A large number of the children there go onto Ngaio kindy.

If you would like to meet up for a coffee one day flick me a pm and let me know - but I warn you, I am ancient (almost 37 *gulp*)

Have you contacted Plunket yet? Your two year old might not need one anymore (I think the last check is 2.5, but could be wrong) but your next one will so you may as well give them a call to let them know you've moved. They can give you the details of PIN groups in your area which you might like to pop along to, either now or when No 2 arrives.

Hi there, I live in Wadestown. I'm 29, my daughter is two and a half and my son is 8 months old. Check out mainly music at the Wadestown Presbyterian Church and the Wadestown playgroup is really cool too. If you go to the Wadestown playground often there will be other mums there to chat to. Its a lovely friendly area.

If you are keen for a coffee catch up feel free to message me. We have a hectic next fortnight but after that I'm hoping to have time for coffee catch ups!

Hope you are enjoying the area. We love it here.

If you ever want to catch up during the week, I'm free too. And if you like getting out and about, I like go for walks around Wilton Bush when it's fine.
