I am quite new to using trade me and was hoping someone could help me out. An auction I really wanted has closed and it didn't sell.
If I ask for a fixed price offer, do I have the chance to ask a question before buying?
If yes then I am not sure whether to ask for a fixed price offer or to relist the auction which had a buy now. Do people generally use the fixed price offer option to sell things cheaper or more than what they have on their buy now?
Hope that made some sense!

No you can't ask a question on a fix price offer. And it depends on the person if they offer higher or lower....I've had FPO's that were much higher then the reserve was originally (why would I want to pay more??).

There is no way of communicating with the seller unless the auction is open.
If you request a fixed price offer then they'll decide the amount and offer it to you, generally it's the same as their buy now, sometimes cheaper...if they relist you can ask a question.

If they have any other auctions open you could ask a question on that one and refer to th closed one e.g "I
am interested in the auction which has closed for widget a and was wondrering ..."
