Hi Ladies,
What kind of healthy food do you ladies eat for lunch and dinner?
I can only think of sandwiches for lunch and bread doesn't agree with me weight wise so any other suggestions?
Also, what are some nice stir fry ideas? e.g what meat do you use and what veges do you use???

My mum made me a fruit salad for lunch the other day and it was really nice.. just cut any fruit up and mix together.
Have you tried couscous before? Really easy to make, and you can add chopped tomato when cooked and balsamic vinegar, basil leaves, grated cheese etc.
Another thing I used to eat quite a bit is omlettes.. add things like meat, grated courgette, tomato etc.
I don't really like using packet mixes anymore so for stir fries you can add beef, chicken, lamb etc and any veges! Broccoli, carrot, baby corns are a few ideas.. and then fry them in soy sauce or some thai chilli sauce.
If you want any recipes let me know

i cant eat bread, so i just buy tortilla shells and put salad in them...makes a great lunch
I also boil up some basmati rice, and then cook some veges and chicken or beef, with a little bit of garlic and soya sauce for my own stirfry.
this coming from someone who is just sitting here eating a bowl of hokey pokey icecream

I normally have a couple of crackers and cheese, a low fat yoghurt and a piece of fruit for lunch and lots of stir frys for tea. I use the watties just add sauce sweet and sour all the time cos I love it but otherwise I buy the bit on the side sauces like satay or sweet chilli and just add that. I add mushrooms, brocolli, cauliflower, courgettes, corn, red peppers and if its sweet and sour i add pineapple too. Tortilla or tacos are another reasonably healthy meal or filled pita breads.

What about pasta can you eat that? I sometimes cook up some pasta (just enough for me) and add a small can of flavoured tuna to it and if needed a bit of sweet chilli sauce. Coming into the warmer weather (not that we can tell by today) salads are good with a bit of meat added to it, be it chicken, ham or tuna that is yum.

Spaghetti and eggs? Muesli? And I love cooking up bacon bones and making a nice soup. It depends why you can't eat bread, if it is carbs then some of these ideas won't help ya

i second the omlette thing, and the couscous thing! I've been making lots of beetroot salads - beetroot, sauteed onion, mushrooms and a bit of cheese, with a small teaspoon of sour cream as a dressing. it's really yummy!

Yum - omelettes!! Lovely with a little cheese and ham...
Spaghetti or baked beans... We often have stirfry - either beef, pork or chicken cooked with soy sauce and garlic, on rice with microwaved veges (usually frozen stirfry mix, the Pams one is yummy with brocolli, cauli, carrots, beans, oniion...)
