I started to get a bump VERY early, and at 13 weeks I was measuring 20-24weeks. It is my 2nd & 3rd though and I know if you've already had a baby you usually start to show sooner as well as the twin factor ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

| How did everyone get on getting a midwife? I had my first scan at about 7.5 weeks and at the stage the Doctor wrote to Auckland hospital to request a specialist for us. We were so excited to hear we were having twins that we didn't really hear the rest! We think she said that the hospital and a midwife would be in touch with us but we haven't heard anything yet. |

I think it's different depending on where you are Shells, I have the same midwife I had with my Daughter 6 years ago - when I found out I was pregnant & doctor had confirmed it I got in touch with her. I will also be seeing an OB at our local hospital which was just automatically organised as it's twins, and have my first appointment with them next week. So my pregnancy will be shared between my private midwife and the hospital OB. I think in some places you go through the hospital they have midwives there which are assigned to you...not too sure though. | Thanks for that Kels152. I ended up ringing Auckland hospital and it turns out they never recieved my referal letter. They have it now and will be in touch soon. Perhaps i will get my own independant midwife too. I really want a natural birth but it seems like they are quite keen on caesarians! |

Thats good you rang them! I have heard you need to keep on top of the hospital team sometimes to make sure you are seen enough etc. Wow are they really! My midwife is great - she prefers to let things go naturally and only go to the caesar if there are problems and I need one, she was the same with epidural with my first - said to see how I go and if I cope ok then dont need it. Nice to have someone who understands what I want and is also looking at whats best for baby/babies ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

WOW 3 under 3 go you! Twins can be a bit daunting - I have a 6 year old who is very keen to help and it's still daunting! Im sure you will be absolutely fine - how nice your kids can all grow up together at similar ages!
