My little man has had baby esthma from about 3 months old, I have applied aqueous cream constantly and it's still there - not it looks like he has like a viral rash and it's ALL over his body except his face, little dots, I use sensitive clothes powder and normall only use the aqueous cream all over him (sometime j&j products), my Aunty seems to think it may be an allergy to something?? Any ideas?

It could be the J&J products, especially if you use baby oil at all...Maddie came out with a rash when we used it on her and it was the visiting midwife who said it was a fairly common reaction.

Briona had rash like that off and on for almost her first year of life. It turned out to just be excema, irritated by heat (I get a bit of that), and no allergy. But I was still glad I checked it over by the Doc - for my assurance!

Also it flared/s up every time she had a viral infection, apparently that's fairly common in excema-prone babies.

we found J&J prducts caused rashes on haleighs skin until she was around 1 now we can use them.
best to talk to docs, but aqueous is also a soap substitute so you could try using it for soap and lotion. We did and haleigh hasnt had ezcema since he was 6 months

I would get him checked out at the doc just in case it is an allergy.

also might be worth trying some BK oil in bath or some other similar natural products for a while if it looks like an allergy.
If it is a virus that will show up in tests your doc can do...

Hope he is better soon

i think i have mention this before but i have just starting using Alpha Keri oil. 5mls in Lycans bath. It's great, now his skin is beautiful...but i would still go and get him checked out by the doctor, s/he will give you something to use as well.

Salt water baths and a visit to the Dr for an allergy test to find out the real problem is all I can suggest, you are a trouper for handling it on your own for the last 7 months!

Alpha Keri oil! I have been looking for something to put on the gremlins as their skin is dry and flaky and my m/w said she would usually recommend almond oil, but it's a no go with the nut allergies. So she suggested olive oil but it's icky. Must try the alpha keri oil, I never even thought of it!

i think BK and Alpha (oils and lotions in the range) are similar make ups...you can buy them over the counter inmost chemists
we have asian cousins who had to use those products and no soaps due to really dry skin and ecsthma...it worked wonders for them...
I hope you find something that works...
