Okay so a couple of months ago I had some pretty weird leg cramps, they seemed to settle pretty quickly (a week?) and I haven't had any more until the last few days. Woke up in the middle of Saturday night, stomping my foot on the ground and DH thought I was having a nightmare lol
But the weird thing I've been having is a twitch in my lower back and then my leg just about gives. It hurts for just that second that I try to walk. It seems to come and go without any reason. It's happening to the same leg as I get cramps on, are they related? Anyone else had this?

I've been having leg cramps so I make sure now I eat a banana a day. The potasiam(sp?) is meant to help.

sounds like it could be siatica (sp?) i get that and it was worse in pregnancy. Kind of hurts but only for a second but if you walk you leg collapses on you. I also got cramp in my calves all the time when pregnant, i think a lot of people do and also my legs would go all dead and really restless, like i couldnt stop moving them or they would sort of ache so could be any one of those things lol. The joy of being preggie aye.

sounds like Sciatica.. heres an article http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/fact/thr_report.cfm?Thread_ID=167 - on it...
I have it really bad too... Im having it alreay and am only 22 weeks!
Might have to see if your midwife can refer you to a physio (they should be free during pregnancy)

Trish that's a cute ticker for your pregnancy but I can't read how many weeks preg?! Something mentioned to me during my last batch of cramps was magnesium supplements - anyone had these?

I took magnesium supplements busymum. They made a real difference in stopping the leg cramps, which were so bad I was in tears a few times with them.
If its nerve pain (sciatica) it won't help, but it can't hurt to take them as apparently pregnancy often causes magnesium deficiency.
Does this make sense??? Gah, nappy brain!!
