Welcome to the Due in February 2013 thread and CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy! What an exciting and amazing journey you are now on!

Welcome also to the OHbaby! community :) Here you will get to make some fantastic friends, learn from others experiences and share a tear and a giggle with each other.

We have two Due in Threads created each month - one is public and one is private. The public one is great for general chat and banter the private thread is password protected and is great for you to share photo's of baby bumps etc

If you're new to the thread and want to be a part of the private group also Just pop in here - say hi and that you're keen to be in the private forum and one of your fellow mums-to-be will private message you the password.

Please do sign up to the weekly pregnancy emails - you can do that by adding your pregnancy in your profile (you can also add your scan pictures when you have one and bubs will be there every time you login to the website).  We recommend signing up the other half as well so they know what you're going through and how baby is growing too :)

Wishing you THE VERY BEST PREGNANCY!!!

Hi guys,
I'm in here too
Due 2nd Feb, and DD was 6 days late so I'm pretty sure this one'll be a Feb baby

Exciting times, except for the nausea kicking in

Posted By: BabyMachine
Date Posted: 04 June 2012 at 4:39pm
Oh stink about the nausea :( I am feeling pretty good but then I think it may be too early for anything. Im sure I tested as early as physically possible so it's gonna be a long 9 months! hehe. I should mention high chanc for twins too eek

Hello! My EDD is 1st Feb. Exciting to share this with others at the same stage :) This is my first (after a chem preg last month) an we'd be trying for just under a year.

Matildaandme, you're due on my bday, pretty cool date to be born :)

BabyMachine, lots of twins in our families too, eek is right! Kinda cool to have a ready made family in one go tho ;)

Quick question for you all please, when should I be looking for a midwife?

Congrats everyone, look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you!

Yay! Congrats to all the new ladies!!
Lots of nice BFPS in this group :)
I had our pregnancy confirmed at the Drs yesterday :) first scan in around 3 weeks, and I've got my midwife sorted.
Is there a FB group for us Due Feb ladies yet? I find it easier to keep up with FB!
Hope you're all well!

A FB group would be a great idea!

Matildaandme did you need to ask/say anything in particular to get your first scan (im guessing its a dating scan?) normally they wouldnt offer one till 12 weeks... is that right?

Just made my first doctor's appointment for friday - i will be 6 weeks :)

Posted By: BabyMachine

I'm keen for a FB group also, however we aren't telling anyone for a little bit so would ask that it was private, and no one could see if possible??

I have had weird pain on my right side, was quite bad last night..it feels better today but anyone else have anything similar? Google was NOT my friend last night! Doc appt at 2pm today :D
kaari I think it would just be a dating scan, measuring the sac/baby and see heartbeat :) I am going to ask for one I think to rule out twins!! (or welcome twins, haha)

Hi Babymachine, i had a sharp 'stitch like' pain in my left side with DD#1, hurt so much I was convinced it was ectopic, everything was fine This time I have it on my right side so presuming that thats just normal for me. Hope that helps put your mind at ease somewhat...
I had my bloods taken yesterday 304! So excited! With DD#1 I'm sure it was only in the early 100's at this stage! Woohoo!
I will be having an early scan kaari, I was having fertility treatment, was due to start IVF in July, and managed to concieve onmy non-medicated 'rest' cycle

Hey MelW - I don't seem to have any apart from a lot of gas! (embarrassing) really wasn't expecting that. I guess I am a little more tired than usual as well but that's about it.

Hi kaari, i googled tickers and the lilypie site came up. Created my ticker and copy and pasted the link into my signature box on my profile.

I'm feeling quite crampy today Quite nervous! I really want to see my HCG levels to make sure they are doubling properly!

Stupid fertility associates are taking their sweet time to even organise blood tests let alone a scan whch they do early if you have had fertility treatment. I told them on Thurs and now being Mon they still havent done anything I feel like their clients are nothing but money to them and they dont care at all!

I'm sorry, thats my vent done for the day, but I am so frustrated!

Just got back from our dating scan and I'm definitely in here instead of in January - new EDD of 7th Feb.

About me - this will be my fifth baby, have three here (nearly 6, 4, and 19 months) and one in heaven. We're based in Auckland, currently central suburbs but looking to move out west - hopefully to a house we've put an offer on last week but we'll see! I'm a stay-at-home mum and use knitting to keep me sane and prevent me from strangling the children, lol.

MelW I am with Fertility associates too, in Wellington. Where are you? I have been getting bloods every week and have one tomorrow actually. Can you call and ask them when the bloods will be scheduled? I know exactly what you mean about wanting to make sure that the hcg etc is ok and it is reassuring bloods done to check.

Just a bit of info for everyone. This is my first after trying for many years so stoked but also nervous. Based in Wellington region.
Welcome to the newcomers and congratulations!

My symptoms at the moment are cramping sore boobs waves of feeling sick.

Went to the Dr for confirmation etc and they didn't even do another test to confirm but I got given a bounty pack so that was a bonus and the Dr was quite condesending and pretty much made the assumption that I couldn't afford to by elevit every month while I'm pregnant and breastfeeding she actually really annoyed me maybe I should add mood swings to my symptoms.

Mountain I'm the same as you, been on fertility treatment with this bub for 1 1/2years and just started spotting tonight, brown blood in cm with a few small red bits (Sorry TMI) very very worried

Hi MelW, after alot of talking to anyone I can ie docs, obs, radiographer, MW and searching on the internet apprenatly brown spotting can just be implantation bleeding and last for a few days, as long as there is no severe pains, illness etc, so we just got to stay postive. I wish you all the best. Postive mind and try not to stress as stress is not good for you or baby. I have taken a cpl days off to focus on me.

Hi there!

Congratulations to you all!

I'm a first timer, I'm almost 7 weeks, and my due date is 31st Jan (so maybe Feb?). All just sinking in right now, seesawing between feelings of elation and terror, and having to run to the bathroom!

Im new to this forum thing aswell, but my friend recommended it to me saying the solidarity she found was a godsend during her pregnancy!

Really looking forward to getting to know you all! I live on a farm so I can see this being a bit of a lifeline!

Ladies i need some help i need some symptoms of your implantation if you had any? I'm 9-10days DPO and i've got the lightest spotting ever, i'm nauseated, boobs hurt and i have had some random niggly pains.

I just wanted to hear your feedback so that i can hopefully understand what the hell is going on with me

bubbaloo is 4.5 weeks.
I had no implantation symptoms.
The only way to know for sure is to test, frustrating I know, but still no other way. The month I had no symptoms at all was the month I was pregnant both times for me.

As for me, I have a cold, earache, and feel a bit pants. Baby is wanting anything salty, marmite on toast in particular, 8 slices today! I NEVER eat that much!!!

PatientlyWaiting .... if you ARE pregnant... one of the early result tests (I like Discover, but there's also First Response) may well be able to pick it up, particularly if you've got symptoms already? I usually get a positive test well before symptoms, lol, so might be worth a shot? Easier than playing am-I, aren't-I, though, especially as all of the above can be PMS symptoms too.

Hello lovely ladies,

I have just found out I'm pregnant - 4 weeks. If all goes well bubs is due February the 20th.

I am quite nervous and so scared of something happening in these early stages..... I guess it's normal to feel like that right????

We have been trying for a couple of years and this little one will be an ivfling :) I'm with Fertility Associates - sorry to hear some of your experiences have been frustrating. I have really liked them - been so lucky with my nurses!!!

I'm a little nervous as noticed a tiny bit of spotting today.... It really was tiny. I guess I just have to wait it out!!! So frustrating - cant wait for that 6 week scan! I bet lots of you are holding out for it to!!!

Congratulations & welcome Princess B

I have also been very nervous too... and as this is #1 also, still not sure what I should be expecting or doing...

I don't think I have started to feel any symptons as such... apart from eating more, weeing more & feeling slightly tired...

I had what I think is a 6 week scan today, but baby was too small to date, so perhaps my 6 week estimate is not quite right? Plan to go back in a few weeks time

baby's all implant at different times after ovulation and you could have ovulated late Nutmeg :) Yay for getting another early scan!

princess, we're having our early scan at 7weeks so we know we'll see something and there should be a heartbeat. Now I've booked it I wish I'd done it a week earlier! I'm desperate to see my wee bean (and see how many there are, I'm freaking that it might be twins)!

That's what I did, and it still backfired, lol. Granted I went in at exactly 7 weeks... only to be pushed back to 5 weeks, lol. That said, they were at least able to see something and estimate a date, so it could have been worse.   Waiting from here til the 12 week scan rather than having another early scan.

In most cases, the 12-13 week scan is the first one available. However, for those who are unsure of their last cycle, or like me who have wonky / uneven cycles they're often used to date the pregnancy - the earlier the scan (after about 5w that is) the more accurate the dates should be - much longer than 12w and other things can influence size so dates are less accurate. However, those with specialists, such as Fertility Associates or OB's usually get more in their care, and often they're offered to mums with previous losses, officially as a "dating scan" but unofficially as a reassurance scan. My own reasons are a bit of both - my dates usually DO get adjusted backwards (annoying, but so far it's proven to be accurate) and after a MC and a stillbirth, the reassurance (particularly seeing a heartbeat) is comforting.

Hello ladies. I have just found out after 3 1/2yrs of infertility that I am finally pregnant :-) We were on the waiting list for IVF ICSI for Jan 2013 because of MFI. By some miracle we managed to get pregnant naturally. BT today confirmed 4.5wks. I have a wonderful 9 yr old Princess from a pervious relationship and a MC 4 yrs ago to DH.

Very nervous given my history but will be reading up on all the posts. Will be 10 yrs between my princess and this baby.

Thanks girls & congratulations Reyna & princess sparkly!!!

Pricesssparkly I know what a long hard road it is that is amazing that it all worked out naturally- amazing xxx I understand that nervousness!!!!

Nutmeg don't worry about not being able to date it - the only reason we can is because of ivf. In the process they know what day they made the embryos put them back etc I think the more scans you can do the better - it must be reassuring!!! At the moment for me they just look at blood work to check the hormones are doubling etc

Matildaandme that would be exciting if it was twins!!!!! Any reason why you have that feeling???

Bubaloo & charmonthefarm if you girls want an early scan push for it with GP/hospital!!! If private is an option grab a referral. Remember this is your experience & is about what makes you comfortable!!!!

Starting to feel a little bit sick in the mornings..... When will everyone announce to family & friends???? Anyone having any symptoms????

Thanks for that Princess B, I never considered going Private, will look into that.

I'm having loads of symptoms, morning sickness is really kicked in hard at the moment, I'm tossing every morning and sometimes in the afternoon, and having trouble sleeping cause my boobs are rather sore. But despite that, I'm happiest I've been in ages!

Have told my best bud, my sister and my in laws but only because I will have to give up farm work and they need to find a replacement! Would rather wait to announce at 12 weeks.

I have told mum and dad and my best friend for support reasons. Leaving it up to my partner to tell his parents but for everybody else we will wait until 12wks and with our sin might leave it till I start showing otherwise we will tell him at 12wks.

Symptoms wise just a bit tired sore boobs feel sick every now and then, starting to get quite hungry and still have slight period pain feeling.

Thanks re dating scan was just going to wait till I see mw as I will be 7wks then and will definetly be able to see something.
