Has anyone used either of these? I am looking at the standard weight ones but can't decide which brand ...

We have used the Merino Kids ones, and LOVE them. I've kept them for our second baby due in October and plan to use them again when he/she is big enough

I have the Merino Kids standard weight bags. They are lovely, wash up really well (nice & soft) but they aren't particularly warm - only 1.2 tog rating. So I tend to use them for cooler summer nights and autumn day sleeps.
And I have the Woolbabe Duvet bags, which I love for winter. They are so warm and snuggly and are apparantly warmer than a 3.5 tog bag (although they don't have a tog rating).
Sorry don't have a Woolbabe standard weight so can't give you a comparison with the Merino Kids bag.

I have a summer weight merino kids and a winter weight woolbabe, so can't comment about the warmth comparison. But I do prefer the woolbabe as the zip goes both ways so I can just undo the bottom for nappy changes, and zip it partway down from the arm to get her out.
Also its much longer than the merino kids, so in theory it will last longer, unless DD is a shortie like her brother, then it won't make any difference.
I have to agree the woolbabe one is very snuggly.

I found the Merino Kids one quite short compared to other brands, so if all else is equal try the other one if the length is longer.

I have standard weight and winter weight Go go bags and Woolbabe bags and in order from coolest to warmest they'd go like this:
standard woolbabe
standard go go
winter go go
winter woolbabe
It would really depend on the temperatures of the room the child was in...although you can always put extra layers on underneath. Sometimes I find the standard go go bag too warm in the height of summer but the woolbabe isn't too bad...we also have an even cooler, sheet-weight bag for really hot days.
Overall, both brands are good bags so whatever you decide you'd be happy with...just get the one that's on the best special!!

I got one from The Wool Company. They have sofest lambswool and Merino Wool blanket and baby bedding.
Wool is the ideal natural fibre for sleeping under as much for Baby as it creates a perfect micro-climate helping to avoid overheating.
