Tried in Planning Preg with no response so maybe someone here can help.

I got my results back today, they were 11.6 - the nurse at the fertility clinic called them "normal" but from the chart they gave it seems they are on the low side, im only 30. Just wondering if anyone else has dont this test?

Im starting to feel a bit down about it as we have been trying 15mths yet conceived our 3 yr old with no problems...basically a wee surprise from one night of not being careful.

Hi Mumma2be, my AMH is 4.6 (I'm 30 too) - and that is definitely considered low. My fertility specialist said they would have expected to see it between 10 and 15 for my age (I also have PCOS, so they thought it would be closer to 15 factoring that in too). Practically it's meant that for our IVF cycle that I've had to be on the highest dose of drugs possible to get my ovaries to respond appropriately - and meant that we couldn't delay.
I know of ladies with AMH of under 1 (who are 30 or under) who have conceived with IVF.

I'm not an expert on this, but AMH of 11.6 sounds okay.

Best of luck!!

Thanks for your reply Ceres, just crossing fingers at the moment and Clomid is planned for next cycle. Do you have any other fertility issues other than low AMH?

Unfortunately Mumma2be, nearly got the fullhouse. I have PCOS, anovulatory without metformin, and DH has MFI. But we DID conceive DD using Clomid (with the help of ovary drilling, ovidrel, and progesterone) - so it can be done. Unfortunately since then, as the specialists so nicely word it, there has been a 'significant decline in parameters' for both of us.

Lovely that you have DD, but sucks about the decline...will cross my fingers and toes for you!! :-) Miracles do happen, lets hope we both get one :-)

Hi Mumma2Be, your result sounds great, they usually would like to see it over 10. Mine was hovering around 3 and I still got pregnant naturally. Good luck to you!
