when you're at a full cafe and your toddler out of the blue thinks that spitting pumpkin soup EVERYWHERE is hilarious. You tell her off she just looks defiantly at you and keeps going. Oh my gosh I just wanted to run away.
Im sure you guys have had 'one of those moments' too wana share?

Our DS went through a stage of saying "whats that" for everything!! When he first started talking. But he said it really fast and mixed the two words together and it came out sounding like "sh*t". He would be walking through town and at the top of his voice "whats that?", we defineatly got some funny looks from people thinking he was saying "sh*t", even to the point of 1 lady commenting :/

i was out at a birthday party, it was time to go. we do the count down and talk to him about what's going on. then it really is time to go.
suddenly i was the mum running round in circles shouting his name while he ran ahead of me snickering.
i am not the one who said it, but i swear some of these things would be sorted out quick smart with a little slap on the hand.

I counted down for DS the other night and then took him off the table (which had been the problem)... he later hopped back on, perfectly innocently without a trace of cheekyness asking 'more count? more count?'

DS1 went through a phase of not being able to make the sound "tr" and substituting an "f" sound. Not too much of a problem until you are out in public and he is pointing at all the large cars/vans/trucks saying "f*ck mummy, f*ck mummy, mummy MORE F*CK!!!"

DD(2y at the time) and I were standing waiting to cross the road when a rather rotund man came to wait as well, I was pregnant and dd was a very early talker, she looked the guys belly and says very loudly "Look mummy, there's a baby in his tummy".
That light couldn't change quick enough.

The awkward moment when my 2yo sitting next to another mother starts patting her boobs (as he does mine) and saying "boobies" with a grin on his face.
It was at that point I stopped letting him touch my boobs and started teaching him "we don't touch ladies boobies" lol
That boy has a total boob fettish and I guess it's not going to change with time

Oh, and one more.
The awkward moment when a very effiminate man came to the door to pick up something I'd sold him on trademe and my 2yo walks out to the doorstep and calls after him "BYE, LADY!!!"

Oh and a 3rd (sorry I have lots from him at the moment and it's quiet night):
In church, soft music and singing has stopped and it's very quiet. 2yo DS in big loud voice calls out "ALL DONE!" Yep, took him out...

when DD went through a stage of asking everyone if they had a penis or a vagina - no matter where we were or how much of a stranger the person was
And not me, but my sister... my niece was toilet training and burst into the bathroom when a real estate agent was using the loo at their house, clapped and said "good boy doing wees!"

'good boy doing wees' - oh dear!
Your story reminded me of a kid at church ages ago, mummyslittlewhirlwind. The chap saying the prayer for a shared lunch was going on, and the little guy was hungry, so halfway through the prayer he pipes up in a VERY loud voice "Amen! Amen NOW!"
