Hi Dorothy,
Thank you for your time on Monday. It was really useful.
We are implementing things already.
As we discussed on Monday please could you send me your plan for solids.
The one area where I am really struggling at the moment is fitting our just 6 month old into the family routine with us and her 2 year old brother.I need something that will work with just one parent as 3 nights a week my husband does night shifts which start at 5.
At the moment we have our dinner about 5.30 with my little boy going in the bath about 6.15-6.30 and then stories and bed. He then sleeps all night.
She wakes from her pm sleep anything from 3-3.30. I have been giving her her dinner about 4-4.30 and she has a feed just before or while we are having dinner. We invariably end up with a crabby and tired baby while we are having dinner which isn't pleasant for anyone.
After dinner she gets bathed (which she loves)and fed(she is often a bit over it by then)and bed and settles quickly. She does miss out on story time as he is getting a bit past it by then and really needs his bath and stories and bed.
The ideal for when she is older is to all sit and have dinner together as I don't really want to do a them and ours dinner.
Any suggestions/ideas would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Clare
