Does anyone have any tips!? We are moving in a couple of weeks with our 1yr old ... which you'd think wouldn't be too drastic but she is so easily unsettled, she wont sleep anywhere apart from her cot so a little worried she wont sleep at the new house ... we have tried her in portacot at friends and at my mums but she just screams and screams. She has always been a sensitive little girl and I'd like to make the move as easy as possible for her. The good thing is the house is very close and we have both houses for a week ... my ideas so far are ...

1. Go in and clean with our cleaning products on day one to make it smell more like our place.
2. Start drying our washing there, again for smell.
3. Take some of her toys there.

Any other ideas? Also any organisational tips? The more organised we are the less people involved and the less stressful it will be!

Thanks!

Can you enlist lots of help on the actual day that you'll be sleeping in the new house, take your daughter out and away from all the moving excitement and get all those extra hands to set up her bedroom at the new house? At least that way, there'll be one room in the house that is very familiar to her.

Another idea might be to take her over to the new house for "visits" in the days before you move?
