I just wondered what people's experience of baby wearing is, for those who do not co-sleep with their babies?

I have a 6 week old baby who is sleeping in a bassinet in her own room, mostly she settles very well (especially at night, which is a relief!). However, I have a Moby wrap-type carrier which I'd like to use during the day so that we can both get the benefits associated with baby wearing, however I'd like her to settle in her bassinet at night after her bath.

What I wondered was whether anyone has successfully done this, i.e. does baby wearing during the day make an infant harder to settle at night in their own bed? I'd love to wear her during the day but don't want to make her more tricky to settle at night time, it would be great to hear other people's experiences of this.

Didn't' find it an issue at all. Now at 7 months she sleep beautifully in her own bed during the day even though she was worn pretty much most of the time when she was little.

i used to wear my baby but not just around the house. she would get worn when i walked to kindy and such or if we were out. she slept fine while being worn and in her own bed too.

I used the moby wrap for my second child and didn't have any problems as such, she had reflux so it's the only place I could settle her, she went into her cot no worrys after this stopped.. If youre worried you could always put her down for short spells so she gets used to the separation.

I wear my baby but she has almost always slept in her own bassinet/cot (now 9mth) and we've never had an issue.
