So one of my FB friends said they have been wrapping their Xmas presents today to save being up at midnight on Christmas Eve doing them. My husband and i do them together on Xmas Eve with a wine and some Xmas music after the kids are asleep... Its the husbands job to put up the weird stuff too like the slide and the bikes LOL!
Just wondering then what everyone else does?

I wrap things as I buy them, saves doing them all at once - with my luck, if I left them until xmas eve, one or both of the kits would probably be unsettled til late

we wrap some on the 23rd and the rest of the 24th. I quite enjoy wrapping them and usually put on some christmas music or having something xmassy going on on the TV.

I have been wrapping them as I go this year but quite like the idea of doing it all in one hit closer to Christmas with some music and a glass of wine or two. Must remember that for next year!

I have been wrapping as I go, to prevent prying eyes! I used to do it all at once on Christmas Eve or similar but it took so long I gave that up, lol.

I didn't even know it was a "thing" to wrap presents on Christmas Eve lol, I've always wrapped as I went, then hide the presents and bring them out on Christmas Eve night to put under the tree.

I usually leave it till the last minute & then hours into it get fed up lol..DH does not help & in the past I have had a couple of wines which makes it go slower ha ha.
One yr I wrapped as I went & then forgot what I bought so it was fun to see when they were opened.
I am starting wrapping tomorrow as it is DS2 birthday on Tuesday so have all has b'day presents to wrap as well.

LoL i buy all through the year so if i wrapped i know i would forget what i had too. And change my mind. This year we were going to give Eden a bike i brought about mid year, but it turns out what she really wants is a Barbie... so i will get her a Barbie and put it with the cool and large Barbie car i got mega cheap the other month... she can have the bike for her birthday in March instead.

Lol Jazzy! Yeah I'd imagine wine would not be helpful in my case! I'd probably fall asleep before I even started wrapping
I do them all at once usually a couple of days out from Xmas though so I'm not getting stressed out on Xmas eve. The kids all buy a little something for everyone so DH &/or I will also spend time with each of them helping them wrap their gifts too.

We don't wrap Santa presents so that's easy. The rest I usually wrap prior to Xmas eve, as generally their presents arrive unwrapped so I have them to do too.

Love the Christmas Eve tradition!
When we have babies, we're going to do the give the kids one present to open on Christmas Eve which will be from us and will always be Pjamas and take them out and they get to choose one decoration put their name on the bottom of it and then when they are 21 they can have their box full of decorations! Can't wait!

Santa was always cheap about wrapping paper when I was a kid
I take the girls to Kirks every year so they can see Santa and pick a decoration each (I pick 2 for me ). I mark each decoration with the kids name and the year too.
Our current Xmas eve tradition is fish n chips at the park with a bottle of bubbly for the parents

I'm pleased I'm not the only one who doesn't wrap Santa presents! Yeah, Santa never wrapped the presents I got as a child either, and I remember being able to burst into my sack and get instant gratification as I pulled one present after the other out... Plus, it seems such a waste of wrapping paper!

I don't wrap santa pressies either. Just the ones from us, and all the other pressies for other people -- I've done big bags for my side of the family though, so they are all done. and we had DH's family Xmas early this year.
I did all my shopping ages ago, so have just had a couple of things to get this month. Will wrap the kids ones Xmass eve or the day before ... I'm about to do the ones for hubby and the ones the kids have got each other now. Done all the kindy teachers ones ready for weds tonight, DD's home based care ones were dropped off last week for her final day tomorrow and DS's teacher was done last week. Feeling pretty organised!
We let them open one pressie from us and one from each other on Xmas eve. they love it and get some much on the day that its nice to have some extra excitement the night before.
Not long now!!

I have always wrapped xmas presents, that's how it was when I was a kid...I remember one yr all my presents were wrapped & put in a big santa sack at the end of my bed, that did not go down well with me as I loved seeing heaps of wrapped present under the tree...the fun was unwrapping them & now as a parent I love seeing my kids face when they rip off that paper that took me ages to put on lol
There are some really great traditions around.. I like the one when the kids get a present xmas eve & it is new pj & a xmas book etc. I also like the ones that give a certain amount like JOY which is one for Jesus, one for others, one for yourself, or 3 gifts like the 3 wise men... this is my fav one, something to read, something you need, something you want & something to wear..
There are several different ones. DH likes the idea of them but could never stick to it lol.

we do the stocking/sack at the end of the bed...only because as a kid I used to love waking up and seeing the stocking there. Aso I remember when I younger I used to woke up VERY early, unwrap a couple of presents and then go back to sleep...I was never very good with surprises. We do a small present on Christmas eve....this year it will be new PJ's (as both kids needed them anyway) and a new outfit to wear on Christmas day.

Done - everything bought, ordered, arrived and wrapped! Very pleased with myself. Now to get DH's b'day party out of the way on Saturday and then I can plan what to cook for xmas. I think I am finally getting into the xmas spirit

Yep we do the stocking at the end of the bed, except I'm making them pillow case sized sacks this year. We used to have pillow cases
It would take me forever to wrap all those presents!

awww james yay
I still have presents to wrap, was going to do it last night but DS1 kept coming upstairs with excuse after excuse so will have to wait till they are all asleep tonight.
DH said he was going to get me another charm when we went out shopping in the weekend but when the day came he said he would look after the kids so I could shop by myself...oh well its the thought that counts right????
